Born in Jackson, MS, Nathan has his Bachelor of Arts in Art from Belhaven College, also in Jackson.  He was awarded the prestigious Nancy McFarland Cobb Award for his work in 1999.

Artist Statement:

Graphic art and etching are the areas of focus in my art.  I prefer realistic imagery within my work, but I have begun to use more abstract designs and visuals in graphic art compositions.  I combine etching with aquatint techniques to create a more defined work.  The process increases the amount of dimensionality to the image.  It also adds atmosphere; in both fields I am continuing to experiment.
