A native Mississippian, Nancy received her
degree in fine arts from Mississippi State University of Women. She studied
technique under the guidance of Marie Hull of Jackson, MS, Jeannie Maddox of
Dothan, Al, and Mary Borshard of Fernandina Beach, FL.
Nancy's professional career started as a commercial artist in fashion design
with Gerber Department Store in Memphis, TN. She worked as a commercial
artist for 2 years at a Memphis print shop as design artist. She taught art
for 8 years in the Memphis Public School System at the Junior high grade
An active member of the Island Art Association and the Jacksonville
Watercolor Society, her interests and experience are in watercolors,
acrylics, oils, stone lithographs, and silk paintings.
