OBJECTIVE

Use my education, knowledge and experience to continue to grow as a person and an artist, and to gain some validation as an artist through showing and selling my artwork.

As a contemporary, forward-thinking artist and educator, I believe in positive thinking and endorse an attitude that anything is possible. My experience spans several career paths: parent, small business owner, high school teacher, photographer and artist.

EMPLOYMENT

1999 – present, Teacher, St. Joseph Catholic School   

I teach art, English and journalism to high school students, and also coach a state runner-up cross-country team. I have brought the level of achievement to a high level, with my art students earning Gold Key awards from the Scholastics Art competition. The school newspaper and yearbook are my responsibility. The paper has won numerous awards since I have taken over the class.

 

 

1996 – 1999,Owner and Vice-President, Centre Deli Restaurant

I learned business first-hand: I built the white table cloth downtown breakfast and lunch business, handled the finances, hired and fired and strengthened my interpersonal relationship skills.
