Alice's paintings reflect her experience of diverse geographies and peoples. She mixes sand and earth with her medium to produce a sophisticated palette and a rich texture. Her images are exquisite distractions from the unifying fundament of color. Their boundaries, inchoate and discernible, demonstrate that forms emerge from and return to a vibratory unity. In fact, Alice states that her images "emerge" from the surface of the canvas.
