Zelle Manning (aka Cotton Patch Artist) is a primitive artist from Morton, MS and at 65 years young has been painting about 20 years.  Through many competitions Zelle has won over 30 awards and has work in the permanent collections of Cottonlandia Museum in Greenwood, MS, the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, GA and the Odgen Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.
A few years back The Museum of American Folk Art visited Zelle's "Cotton Patch Studio" bringing 43 patrons from New York, Wisconsin, California, North Carolina, Kansas, Maryland and Canada on a bus tour organized by the museum.  Zelle comments that the visit "was very exciting and profitable".
